There are some places on earth that seem designed specifically for the lens. Stunning vistas, ever changing cloud formations, cobalt blue water, waterfalls and forests. Where???

The land of fjords. Norway! So why did I name this entry “The Land of Dag?” Well, because to me Norway and Dag are synonymous. Dag was an exchange student from Norway who dropped into Southern California for a year in high school and set the standard for what we thought of Norwegians. He taught our little band of friends how to cross country ski and a few choices Norwegian words. But most of all, he showed us great heart and a dry wit that seems to define the character of the locals.

Dag himself became a professional photographer (Relaxed Sports Photography in Oslo http://www.Relaxedsports.com) and for a number of years, the manager of the famous Nordic triathlon, The Norseman. After so many years of stories and pictures, I had to make the journey to his homeland and see firsthand what it was all about.

There have been no shortage of sights for the senses. Glaciers, vistas, fjords and waterfalls around every corner. I will be editing these images for weeks! If you get a chance, pack the camera and make the trek yourself. You will not be disappointed!
