The past week has been a week of tragedy for our neighbors in Los Angeles. We all have friends and family that have lost houses and the situation is horrible. I’m going to take a break for a moment and share some happy shots just to change the mood…

Surfing has a way of providing a break from all that is serious. It may be just a flash in the pan or it may be a therapeutic reset. Yesterday when I went out to shoot, I was greeted with these moments of levity and joy.

People enjoying themselves in the embrace of the waves is a powerful thing.

In fact, the ocean and surfing provide the relief that we all need from time to time. Do you surf? Do you want to have moments like these in your life? Today’s the day to make a change that brings a smile to your face. Go ahead and buy, rent, or borrow a board and learn to surf!! Who knows, maybe I’ll be there to document the start of your journey!

  1. I am so very sorry for all the loss that is happening. My heart breaks. I do believe giving your mind a rest is crucial, and a dose of nature is just the right medicine! I walk outside and it totally helps my mental health. These are great photos!
